I started with a few hens. Just enough to keep the ovens going when the frost bites hardest.
But lately? It's like winter can't touch them. The purple blight spreads, folk go hungry, and my chickens multiply like they're mocking us.
They're everywhere. In the snowbanks. On the roofs. Pecking holes in sacks we can't replace.
