And I'm pretty sure about that.
When the bell rings, the animals react. Dogs perk up. Birds startle. Even the cats pause their little schemes.
If the bell rang and nobody noticed, we'd have a village full of the world's calmest wildlife.

Two shells tapping in the right rhythm. A single one rolling in a gutter.
Small sounds become sharp when you're afraid.
Tell Chris that fear makes excellent ears and terrible conclusions.

If Chris hears a ring that nobody else hears... it might be because he's listening too hard.

Nothing bell-ish. Sometimes I hear a little *tick tick* like acorns tapping the roof.
It can sound sharper than it should.
Maybe Chris has an acorn problem.
Or a roof problem.

Nighttime is mostly crickets and Levi snoring.

Like... you know when you tap a mug and it keeps singing?
Wood does that too.
Tell Chris to drink water. And maybe nap.
Naps fix most things.
